Wall of China

The wall of China, also known as the Big Wall, was a completo military defense sistem during the time of the cold army. Today, it shows a cultural relic that was included in the World Cultural Heritage from Unesco in 1987. The symbol of the National chinese spirit had five thousand meters and looks like a huge dragon running its way to the deserts and hills of the County.

Known in China as the Wall of ten thousand Li (two Li equals to one kilometer), its constructions started before Christ. It came from seven chinese independent kingdoms on that time, that created seven different walls in difficult access to defend themselves from the neighbors. Still by that time, one of those kingdoms won the other six, and than it started to be created a single big wall, since there was no point on sharing China, now that it was unified. Since that date, the wall started to be together, to protect the entire China against the huns invasions, and the next dynasties kept the maintence and repairs of the wall.

Even though the Wall of China had accomplished its function for a long time, its existence to humanity today represents a rare cultural, artistic, architectural and touristic legacy.

Machu Picchu - Peru

Machu Picchu, 112 km distant from Cuzco and 2430 m of high, is located in a mountain wich name is Old Mountain, translated to English from the known Inca city. After being hiden for 300 years, its discovery was oficial on June 24, 1911, and today is part of the Machu Picchus's Historic Sanctuary.

Machu Picchu presents a bis quantity of temples, recognized by the quality of its constructions and the finishing mannered. In one of those temples there is a picture of a cross, the same found in Ollantaytambo, in Peru and in the ruins of Tihuanaco, in Bolicia, wich proves that the Inca Empire was across the limits of the ruins of Machu Picchu.

Between al the activities practiced in the inca city, the one that highlights the most, is the astronomic, and an example of that is the people that lived there, and had a temple named 'Sun Temple', where there is just a window that is shined by the first sun rays, exactly at 7:15 in the morning, in June 21, the beginning of the winter solstice.

The city, inhabited by Incas, doesn't keep any clue of the whereabouts of its inhabitants. And since they didn't have the writing yet, the discovery of this mistery gets even harder.
